Did you know?

Do you know how to use a compass?  Do you know how to read a map?  In today’s world of marvelous electronic gadgetry many have forgotten the basics of map reading and using a compass.  If modern civilization was to break down did you know the modern GPS system would fall?  Literally fall from the sky.  The GPS system requires constant maintenance and repositioning.  Any number of events can easily disrupt and render this system useless.  I think rediscovering the use of the map and compass can be a great thing and good fun.  Turn the TV off and go on an orienteering scavenger hunt.  You build skills and get to have some fun. - Chief
